Implementation of advocacy and communication campaigns envisaged within the framework of Small and Medium Enterprises Support Initiative (FASSI) in Food and Agriculture

 The project is funded by the European Union "within the framework of EASSI, which is supported by the Georgian Farmers Association (GFA) in support of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Food and Agriculture Industry. Members of the Consortium are: Civil Development Agency (CiDA), International School of Economics (ISET), Export Development Association (EDA) and Association "Atinati" (ATINATI). Where the implementation of advocacy and communication campaigns, the project envisages strengthening of the organization's activities, diversification of services, promotion and development.
Based on the idea of ​​the project, the following issues will be discussed at the meeting with Agro entrepreneurs, farmers and cooperative members, namely People Meeting with people employed in the agrarian field:

​

• Inform the people employed in the agrarian sector regarding the planned phytosanitary reform;

• Effective of plant protection (agrotechnical, mechanical, chemical and biological) activities;

• Regulate and control of European standards pesticides and fertilizers;

• Information on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) and its regulations.

• Phytosanitary Inspection of Industrial Plots;

• Production, storage and transportation standards for the production of excess agricultural products produced;

• Standard: HACCP is one of the components of phytosanitary certification, introduction of biomaterials and innovative technologies;

• Use of intensive gardening technologies;

Seminars will be held: March, April - 2019

Place of conducting seminar: Kutaisi, Samtredia and Vani and Tskaltubo region. Banoja Village

The project will be implemented by "Vocational Learning and Training Center", where in the framework of advocacy and communication, the organization will provide information to farmers, young people and students in the agrarian sector through seminars.
